The 2nd Assistant Manager is a part-time entry-level leadership role responsible for supporting daily store operations, driving sales performance, and providing guidance to team members when serving as the Manager on Duty. This position is ideal for individuals seeking to develop retail leadership skills and grow into expanded management opportunities within the organization.
Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Sales
• Provide an exceptional customer experience by welcoming shoppers and assisting them throughout their purchasing process.
• Drive sales by recommending merchandise including footwear, apparel, and accessories.
• Process customer transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card processing.
Store Operations
• Support merchandise replenishment and maintain an organized, clean, and visually appealing sales floor.
• Assist in processing incoming freight and setting the sales floor according to company standards.
• Ensure adherence to all operational policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Leadership & Team Development
• Serve as Manager on Duty during assigned shifts, providing direction and support to team members.
• Train new and existing employees on customer service, sales techniques, and store processes.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
Additional Duties
• Make bank deposits as required.
• Open and close the store, including times when working alone.
Requirements
• Minimum age of 18 with a valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation for banking responsibilities.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Interest in developing leadership abilities and supporting team performance.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting 25-50 lbs., bending, reaching, twisting, climbing ladders, and kneeling.
• Comfortable working independently during certain shifts.
