HEADLINE: Deadline approaching for MVNU’s Dual Enrollment program

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — Deadlines are approaching for Mount Vernon Nazarene University’s Dual Enrollment program, which continues to grow after setting yet another record for student enrollment. The College Credit Plus program, designed to provide high school students with the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school, is approaching its deadline of April 1 for the 2026-27 school year.

In response to growing interest, MVNU has expanded its selection of online classes and has formed exciting new partnerships with area high schools. These advancements ensure that every student and their families receive the support and resources necessary to succeed academically.

“One of the greatest benefits of choosing MVNU’s Dual Enrollment program is the individualized advising each student receives,” said Crystal Goehring, Director of Dual Enrollment. “Our team works closely with each student to understand their high school graduation requirements and post-graduation goals, helping them craft a college schedule that maximizes their available funding. This personal approach sets us apart and helps students transition smoothly into college life.”

Currently, MVNU partners with 75 high schools, offering students access to a broad range of academic opportunities.

Anyone interested in learning more about the College Credit Plus (CCP) process can go to mvnu.edu/dual-enrollment/ and watch a recorded CCP Informational Session. This session provides an overview of the state’s College Credit Plus program, an introduction to MVNU’s Dual Enrollment offerings, and an opportunity to hear questions asked about the application process and expectations.

“We want to walk alongside families as they navigate the College Credit Plus requirements,” Goehring added. “This informational session is an excellent opportunity to get all the details needed to make informed decisions about the dual enrollment experience.”
