“Doc Talk – Living Life to its Fullest with COPD
August 3, 2026—Mount Vernon, OH—Join us for a free Doc Talk on Thursday, August 27, from 5 PM to 6 PM, where Emad Kowatli, MD, Pulmonologist, will discuss the signs, symptoms, and treatment options for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). This educational session will discuss the risk factors, early diagnosis, and practical ways to manage COPD to improve breathing, stay active, and maintain a better quality of life.
This event is free and open to the community. It will be held in the Wright Family Medical Pavilion (WFMP), 2nd-floor classroom. As you enter the building on the same floor as the Birthing Center, take a right, and the event will be in the first room on the left.
Dr. Kowatli has recently started at KCH in the Knox Medical Center to launch the return of the Department of Specialty Care - Pulmonology at KCH. He attended Wright State University, where he did his residency in Internal Medicine. His fellowship was completed in Critical Care at The Chicago Medical School/Cook County Hospital in North Chicago, IL. In addition, he completed a fellowship in Pulmonology and Sleep at the University of South Florida, College of Medicine. Later, Dr. Kowatli completed a research fellowship in Adult Cardiology at Cook County Hospital.
