NEWARK, OHIO, AUG. 31, 2026 — Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) is now accepting nominations for its three annual alumni awards.
The deadline to submit nominations is Oct. 15. Award recipients will be revealed at the college’s Alumni Holiday Celebration on Dec. 3.
Each submission must include a completed nomination form and documentation that depicts how your nominee meets the respective award criteria. Nomination materials may vary by award. Submit forms and find additional information at cotc.edu/awards.
The Outstanding Alumni Award recognizes COTC alumni who have personal and/or professional achievements that bring honor and distinction to the college and individual attainment or contributions for the betterment of our community.
The John C. “Jay” Barker Community Service Alumni Award recognizes COTC alumni who have made a significant impact on their local community through their leadership, involvement and service. This award was created in memory of John C. “Jay” Barker, whose incredible dedication to the college and the community epitomizes the qualities and characteristics this award seeks to recognize.
The Transitions Alumni Award recognizes COTC alumni currently working at the college in either a faculty or staff capacity who help advance the college and make a difference in the lives of current students.
COTC is a fully accredited, public college dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible programs of technical education in response to current and emerging employment needs. COTC is the only technical college in Ohio operating four campus locations: Newark, Coshocton, Knox and Pataskala.
