Art at the Park Invites Community to Celebrate Local Artists at Free Reception on July 10th
MOUNT VERNON, OH — The community is invited to celebrate local creativity at the upcoming Art at the Park Artist Reception on Friday, July 10th, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the CA&C Visitor Center (501 South Main Street). This highly anticipated event is free, open to the public, and offers a perfect summer evening of art, music, and community spirit.
Attendees will have the unique opportunity to meet the talented artists participating in this year's community art competition and view an incredible display of local talent. To kick off the festivities, live musical entertainment will be provided by the Fat Tuesday Trio, bringing their vibrant energy to the park. Local food trucks will also be on-site, offering a variety of delicious dining options for visitors to enjoy while they browse the artwork.
A central highlight of the evening is the launch of the Community Choice Award voting. Starting at the reception on July 10th and running through August, community members can cast their votes for their favorite art pieces. This public voting window allows everyone to play a role in honoring the local artists who capture the spirit of the region.
The grand finale of the competition will take place later this summer. The overall juried winners, along with the final Community Choice selection, will be officially announced on stage at the annual Mount Vernon Music & Arts Festival.
"Art at the Park is a wonderful celebration of our local creative community," said Olivia Toth, Executive Director of the Knox County Convention & Visitors Bureau. "We want to welcome everyone—families, neighbors, and visitors alike—to come out, enjoy some great music and creativity, and help us celebrate the incredible artistic talent we have right here in Knox County."
All are welcome to attend this family-friendly event. For more details and updates, visit the official Art at the Park Event Page.
