Live Stream Technician

Position Overview:
The Live Stream Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining the church’s live streaming systems to ensure worship services, special events, and other ministry activities are broadcast with excellence. This role requires technical skills, attention to detail, and a heart for serving the church’s mission of reaching people for Christ, both in-person and online.


Key Responsibilities
  • Live Streaming & Recording
    • Operate cameras, audio, lighting, and streaming software during worship services and events.
    • Monitor live broadcasts to ensure high-quality video and audio output.
    • Record services and prepare video files for online posting or archival.
  • Technical Setup & Maintenance
    • Set up and test all streaming and recording equipment prior to services/events.
    • Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively during live broadcasts.
    • Maintain and update streaming software, hardware, and related equipment.
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with the worship team, pastors, and other media staff/volunteers to deliver seamless services.
    • Train and support volunteers in operating live stream equipment.
    • Communicate proactively with church leadership about improvements or equipment needs.
  • Post-Production & Distribution
    • Edit recorded services (as needed) for upload to church website, YouTube, social media, or podcasts.
    • Ensure online services are accessible, engaging, and consistent with the church’s mission and vision.

Qualifications
  • Experience with live streaming platforms (e.g., YouTube Live, Facebook Live, Vimeo, Church Online Platform).
  • Familiarity with video switchers, streaming software (OBS, vMix, ProPresenter, etc.), and audio mixing.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills under pressure.
  • Ability to work Sundays, holidays, and special event times.
  • Team player with good communication skills and a servant-hearted attitude.
  • (Preferred) Background in media production, IT, or related field.

Work Schedule
  • Primarily Sundays and special services/events (Christmas, Easter, weddings, funerals, conferences).
  • Weekly prep meetings and occasional training sessions.

Reports To
  • Media Director / Office Administrator/ Lead Pastor.
 *All Staff must be able to pass a background check and be Safe Sanctuary Trained
Hours: Part-time starting at 5-10 hours per week
