The Downtown Mount Vernon Merchants present A Middle-earth March Through Mount Vernon: Celebrating National Hobbit Day on Saturday, September 20th! Our merchants have pulled together an absolute dragon?s hoard of specials, activities, and prizes to celebrate this special occasion! A passport will help guide you through our downtown businesses where you will answer riddles to receive your stamp (a quick refresh of Chapter V of The Hobbit: Riddles in the Dark may help you find some answers!). 55th Anniversary of the Mount Vernon Lions Club
The Lions will be celebrating the 55th Anniversary of the Mt Vernon Lions Club on Tuesday, September 23 at 6pm at the Mulberry Street Church located at 205 North Mulberry Street. The club will be honoring Joe and Donna Gutridge, the original charter members. Please plan to join us for the festivities!
Ribbon Cutting at Hampton Inn Mount Vernon
Join us in celebrating the opening of Hampton Inn Mount Vernon, located at 1560 Venture Drive, Mount Vernon with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4:30 pm. An open house celebration will be from 4 pm to 7 pm., offering refreshments, private tour of the hotel, and bring your business cards to enter into a prize drawing. All are welcome to attend, and we look forward to seeing everyone there for this exciting ribbon cutting celebration.
