39th Anniversary Celebration - WNZR
Join WNZR for a special celebration on Wednesday, October 1st! On Wednesday, October 1st, the WNZR staff will celebrate the station?s 39th Anniversary! You are invited to our 90+9 ice cream giveaway! On Wednesday October 1st, from 4pm ? 6pm, we will be handing out 99 cups of ice cream courtesy of Round Hill Dairy in the chapel parking lot of Mount Vernon Nazarene University! You can enjoy a variety of different ice cream flavors, grab a WNZR promo item, pose for a pic with Big Blue and our Big Blue Crew, sing our birthday song for a WNZR Guitar Flyswatter, and listen to fun tunes that recap our 39 years on the air. Come out to celebrate on Wednesday October 1st from 4pm to 6pm at MVNU, 800 Martinsburg Road in Mount Vernon. Our celebration of all things Gambier will take place in our Community Park at 117 Meadow Lane. The event will coincide with our Arbor Day Proclamation and Tree planting on April 24, 2026. Traditionally, Wiggin Street Elementary students are invited to a tree planting and presentation in our park that highlights conservation and the importance of trees. This year we are inviting the whole community. From 3pm-6pm Bring a Picnic, enjoy the presentation Tour the Park to see the Trifloria Sculpture, the Storybook Trail, the Dog Park, and Community Gardens Learn Gardening tips from our Community Garden group Swap plants, Learn more from the DKMM and Knox County Parks District Free Lemonade from Our 3 Lemons Mr. Bill?s Pizza food truck will also be on site And Much More.
