MOUNT VERNON — Jerry Scott has been selected as the 2026 recipient of the Food For The Hungry Stroud Award for Community Service. The Stroud Award honors the memory of a long-time Knox County resident and community leader. Bill Stroud, who died in 2011 at the age of ninety, was a retired president and chairman of First-Knox National Bank. MOUNT VERNON —The Food For The Hungry (FFTH) of Knox County’s grant application process for the 2025 campaign opens Thursday, Oct. 1, at 8 a.m. and will remain open until Saturday, Oct. 31, at 12 p.m. Applications submitted after 12 p.m. on Oct. 31 will not be accepted.
