Mount Vernon Nazarene University - Career Networking Event

This is an opportunity for students to ask professionals questions about the job search and beginning a career.  It's also a time for you to offer advice and input to students preparing for life after MVNU.

We will begin the evening in Hunter Hall, room 109 with a Q & A session.  We will then move over to Schnormeier Gallery for appetizers and after a brief presentation by several senior art majors introducing their work, we will conduct a structured time of networking, something along the lines of "speed-dating".  Students will have the opportunity to introduce themselves to professionals in a social setting.  We will match students up with members of the community and rotate partners throughout the remainder of the evening.

Some aspects of career and vocation are not typically taught in a classroom and your participation in a networking event like this makes it possible to prepare students for social scenarios that will probably be part of their next steps, whatever their aspirations may be.
