Lima Company Memorial ''Eyes of Freedom'' November 11th thru November 16th
The exhibit honors the fallen members of LIMA COMPANY, which, as you may remember, was a Marine Reserve unit based out of Central Ohio. They suffered a tragic loss in 2005 when 14 members were hit in a roadside bombing. The Company had been called Lucky Lima, but eventually would lose 23 young men. The schedule begins November 10th when the RL Carriers truck carrying the Eyes of Freedom is met at the county line by Sheriff's escort. The truck will be unloaded by the Jr. ROTC team, Honor Guard, bagpiper at 7:00pm in front of Schormeier Gallery. Grand opening will be held November 11th at 10:00am. A ceremony will take place on the square at 11:11am. The gallery will be open Tuesday, November 12th thru Saturday, November 16th from 11:00am until 4:00pm daily. Saturday will be the last day of the exhibit, dismantling will take place at 2:00pm.
