CHAMBER: Knox County Knockout Guinness World Record Attempt
Open to everyone in Knox County! Register for this community event where we will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest game of knockout.
Knox County Chamber of Commerce, Mount Vernon Nazarene University, and New Directions have signed a contract with Guinness Book of World Records to host this family, community event at MVNU's Ariel Arena.
For ages 8 to 88! Our goal is to get 1,000 participants. Doors open at 9:00 a.m. for registration. A group picture needed for verification will be taken promptly at 11:00am, then the game will begin. Guinness officials will be there to verify our record attempt. The first 200 participants through the doors will receive a free "Knockout" T-shirt. This exciting event will have lots of media coverage and special guests participating!
Concessions will be available and the event will be streamed live on WNZR.tv. This exciting event will have lots of media coverage and special guests participating. Business people, schools, and residents will all come together to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime community event.
For those wishing to enjoy a full day of activities, everyone is invited to enjoy "Dime-a-Dog Night" while watching the MVNU Men's Soccer Team take on Aquinas College at 4:00 p.m. The community is also invited to participate in the "Color for a Cause" 5K/1M sponsored by New Directions starting at 6:00 p.m. in Ariel Foundation Park.
