DESCRIPTION:The Heritage Centre Association announces the 2012 First Friday season. The Main Stage will be located on the South end of the Public Square with live music each month from local favorites.\n\nBack by popular demand is the monthly Cruise-In\, voted in the Cruisin' Times Magazine's top ten Cruise Ins for the past several years. There will be a gift for the first 25 registrants along with door prizes drawn every 15 minutes. Kids are part of the fun each year…bring down your peddle cars for chance to win prizes! Registration\n\nOther activities on the Square will include the Bounce House\, balloon sculptor Rex Naylor and Sophia's Petting Zoo featuring Rosie the llama and several other animals for the kids to hold.\n\nFood will be available on the Square for purchase by Flapper's Bar & Grille.\nSeveral new art displays are also available for viewing each First Friday throughout the districts galleries including the Knox County Art League and KUDOS on North Main Street. There is a gallery reception in the Buchwald Center Schnormeier Gallery of MVNU and Red Z Gallery each month on South Main Street.\n\nFirst Friday events are held each month May through October from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and are family friendly. Watch for details for the Second Annual Rubber Duck River Race scheduled for September First Friday.\n\nWNZR Radio Station broadcasts live from the event as well as a live remote from Eagle 93.7 provided by local business sponsors. The Mount Vernon Fire Department brings one of their fire trucks on display. Come down and be a part of the fun!
