SUMMARY:Arts Alliance Workshop: Matt Godsil
DESCRIPTION:KVAA's Arts Alliance Workshops are accessible community events that are designed to offer relevant\, inspiring information and practical approaches towards creating individual art. Workshops are led by guest artists immersed in their field of study who lead conversation and questions through their shared experience and process.\n\n\n\nMatthew Godsil is an Ohio landscape painter whose work begins with graphite and plein air watercolor studies and evolves into richly textured oil paintings. Inspired by the historic terrain of Ohio and the western coast of Ireland\, he explores the dialogue between light\, air\, water\, and earth. For over forty years\, he has balanced studio practice with teaching art in Mansfield\, Ohio. Godsil describes painting as a prayerful attentiveness an act of visually taking hold of Creation and sharing that experience with others.\n\n\n\nThis is a free public event.
